The Met Lounge
The Met Building - Level 13
Sitting at the very top of The Met Building, the Met Lounge is one of Fitzrovia's most striking settings - a retractable roof, uninterrupted 360° views across the London skyline, and a brief that asked us to make the interior finally worthy of all of it.
By day, a warm, comfortable lounge and workspace. By night, a venue for corporate receptions and private events, open to the sky. The setting was already exceptional; our job was to make sure the interior complemented it.
We delivered a full design and build transformation in twenty-one days: new wall panelling, a redesigned bar, considered lighting, and FF&E throughout — all conceived around a high-end lounge aesthetic inspired by the rooftop culture of New York.
Working around Lazari's live events calendar, we also integrated motorised blind and shading solutions beneath the retractable roof, so the room can be tuned for heat and light whatever the London sky is doing — as comfortable for a Tuesday morning meeting as it is for an evening reception.

Outcome
The result completely changed how the space feels. A venue that already had the views now has the room to match them — and it wasted no time proving it, hosting the building's launch event for Lazari and guests within weeks of completion.
"A big thank you for the delivery of the 12th floor and new Met Lounge. I thought it presented brilliantly and feedback was resoundingly positive."

A bit of history
Originally built in 1965 and inspired by New York’s Lever Building, The Met Building has been transformed through a comprehensive redevelopment completed in September 2023.
This refurbishment, undertaken at a Capex cost of £30 million, reimagined the building’s timeless architectural design while integrating modern innovations and sustainability features.
